As a Senior Accountant you will primarily be engaged in compilation, review and audit engagements for small to medium sized private companies. Candidates need to have 1 to 2 years of public practice experience. You will also be responsible for preparing personal and corporate tax returns. Direct client contact is encouraged and supported. Travel to client sites may be required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong work ethic.  They should be detail-oriented and have the ability to solve problems independently. Job functions include:

  • Preparation of working paper files for Notice to Reader financial statements and corporate income tax returns
  • Preparation of personal income tax returns
  • Assistance on Review and Audit engagements
  • Introduction to basic planning techniques for corporate and personal income tax matters and structures
  • Bookkeeping for clients

COMPETENCIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Working towards CPA designation; successful completion of CFE or recently designated
